Job Summary:
To deliver exceptional food and beverage service in alignment with Jumeirah's standards while maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety protocols. Support the front-of-house (FOH) team in providing excellent service and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all colleague activities comply with Jumeirah Quality Standards.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently, both at tables and counters.
  • Maintain a strong communication link between kitchen and service areas.
  • Update and enhance knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Provide informed recommendations to guests on food and beverage selections.
  • Receive, store, and manage food and beverage items according to hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor the quality of food and beverage served, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Utilize upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Prepare the pass section for service, ensuring all items are correctly presented.
  • Expedite food from the pass to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
  • Assist in various departments as requested by management, including support for large events or hotel functions.
  • Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and adapt to various service environments.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with kitchen and FOH colleagues for efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm in all work-related tasks.
  • Uphold the highest standards of honesty and integrity in interactions with colleagues and customers.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Proficiency in table service techniques.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 5-star property is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work in various settings, including bar service when needed.

 

Level of Education:

  • University degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, but not required.

Work Hours:

  • Flexible scheduling required, including weekends and holidays.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months of experience in food and beverage service within a 5-star property.
  • Previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment is essential.
