Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Aquaventure Operations to oversee the comprehensive leadership, planning, guest service, strategic sales, and financial performance of Aquaventure Operations and Resort Pool Operations at Atlantis, Dubai. This role involves collaborating with management to achieve team goals while maximizing revenue and ensuring high guest satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the operations of Aquaventure World to deliver a superior water park experience.
  • Train, motivate, and manage a dedicated team of lifeguards and operational staff.
  • Recruit and develop management talent within Aquaventure World to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage the annual operating budget through effective inventory control and procurement.
  • Oversee payroll contributions through efficient scheduling and labor management.
  • Monitor operational expenses and maintain inventory levels for smooth operations.
  • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of Aquaventure facilities, collaborating with the Water Quality Department for slide maintenance.
  • Create a safe, secure, and healthy environment for employees and guests.
  • Anticipate service needs to ensure a superior guest experience.
  • Foster professional communication with all departments interacting with Aquaventure operations.
  • Maintain aesthetic standards throughout the park, including landscaping and signage.
  • Drive guest engagement initiatives during operational hours.
  • Oversee daily operations of guest services, recreational activities, and leisure areas within the water park, resort pools, and beaches.
  • Manage Atlantis Watersports and Tennis Facilities.
  • Coordinate daily activations for resort and water park guests.
  • Liaise with Digi Photo Operations for Aquaventure services.
  • Handle Aquaventure P&L management, including forecasting and accruals.
  • Directly manage Managers, Assistant Managers, Team Leaders, and staff for Aquaventure operations.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and develop Performance Development Plans for management staff.
  • Implement disciplinary actions when necessary to uphold performance standards.
  • Achieve high levels of colleague engagement and satisfaction throughout the year.
  • Ensure compliance with third-party and local governing standards.
  • Perform daily inspections of the water park, pools, and beaches prior to guest use.
  • Undertake any additional duties necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the water park, pools, and beaches.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a college degree in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of water park operational experience.
  • 10+ years of lifeguard management or instructor experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven administrative abilities with a strong customer focus.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities, including effective communication and task management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.

 

Level of Education:
Minimum of a college degree in a relevant field.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time; flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by operational needs.

 

Experience in Months:
120+ months (10 years) of relevant experience in water park operations and lifeguard management.
