Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-oriented Waiter to join our Food & Beverage team at One&Only The Palm Hotel in Dubai. The Waiter will assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests by providing attentive, high-quality service. The role involves maintaining the restaurant’s presentation, upholding resort standards, and fostering a positive, welcoming atmosphere.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and friendly service to guests, ensuring all their dining needs are met.
  • Prepare tables and ensure all mise-en-place is ready before service begins.
  • Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders within set timeframes, demonstrating thorough product knowledge.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are served according to resort standards and with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Manage guest interactions, creating a memorable dining experience and addressing any special requests or complaints with professionalism.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to junior staff, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dining environment in line with resort standards.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs for restaurant equipment to the supervisor.
  • Stay informed about resort activities, events, guest arrivals, and special promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal and workplace hygiene, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Promote energy and water conservation practices within the restaurant environment.
  • Assist with inventory checks and ensure that all supplies are well-stocked and readily available.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel or upscale resort environment, preferably in Food & Beverage.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and cocktail knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calm professionalism.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-centric attitude.
  • Team-oriented with a dynamic and positive approach to guest service.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with additional hospitality or food service qualifications preferred.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:
Minimum 12-24 months of relevant experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
