Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Waiter for Ossiano, Atlantis The Palm's award-winning fine dining restaurant. The Head Waiter will lead by example, ensuring that all guests experience exceptional service and hospitality. This role involves managing guest interactions, overseeing service standards, and ensuring a high level of quality in food and beverage offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests, establishing a professional rapport to create a positive first impression.
- Oversee and ensure the highest level of fine dining service for all guests, maintaining consistency in service quality.
- Monitor food and beverage items being served, escalating any concerns or complaints to management immediately.
- Provide detailed menu knowledge and specialist advice on food and beverage pairings, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
- Assist colleagues with hands-on support during peak service times, ensuring team efficiency and coordination.
- Manage guest reservations and accommodate special requests, including dietary preferences and seating arrangements.
- Conduct briefings with service staff to ensure everyone is informed of daily specials, guest VIPs, and restaurant promotions.
- Assist in training new team members, maintaining service excellence standards, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Handle guest complaints and service issues professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations in the dining area.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a fine dining or luxury restaurant environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and support a team during high-pressure situations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple guest interactions while maintaining a high level of service.
- In-depth knowledge of fine dining etiquette, food presentation, and wine pairing.
Level of Education:
Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
Work Hours:
Full-time, flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
Minimum 24 months of relevant experience in a luxury dining environment.
