Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Waiter to join our team at Saffron, Atlantis, The Palm. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional fine dining service, manage front-of-house operations, and enhance the guest experience through professional interactions and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests promptly, establishing a friendly and professional rapport.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to waiting staff to ensure high service standards are maintained.
- Familiarize yourself with the complete food and beverage menu, including daily specials and promotional activities.
- Offer expert recommendations and detailed information about menu items to guests and colleagues.
- Monitor the consistency and quality of food and beverage items served, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s standards.
- Address any guest complaints or issues swiftly, escalating to management when necessary.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and presentation.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members to enhance their service skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of service standards and procedures.
- Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all service protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar role within a high-volume fine dining restaurant.
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings and menu items.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Experience in Months:
24-36 months of relevant experience in fine dining service and hospitality.
