Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for crafting beverages according to specified recipes, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area. The bartender will provide excellent customer service, anticipate guest needs, and handle payment transactions while ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages according to established recipes, including mixed drinks, wine, champagne, and non-alcoholic options.
  • Set up, maintain, and clean the bar, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies, including glassware, garnishes, ice, and beverages.
  • Handle opening and serving of wine and champagne bottles, ensuring proper presentation and service standards.
  • Process guest payments accurately, maintain cash handling procedures, and complete end-of-shift reports and cash drops.
  • Maintain inventory and secure all liquors, wines, beers, and other bar supplies, ensuring accurate counts and storage.
  • Anticipate bar needs and communicate replenishment requests to management or support staff.
  • Clean and sanitize glassware, bar tools, and work areas throughout the shift, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down bar areas for special events or functions as required.
  • Provide personalized service, engage with guests, and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
  • Follow all company policies related to safety, health standards, and customer service excellence.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues or escalate them to management when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, including assisting in other food and beverage outlets when needed.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • At least 1 year of bartending or related hospitality experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of drink preparation, mixology, and beverage handling.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with guests and handle inquiries professionally.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, move through confined spaces, and perform physical tasks, including bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • Knowledge of payment processing and cash handling procedures.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in food safety or alcohol service is an advantage.
