Job Summary:
The Mixologist is responsible for managing the bar service, ensuring a high-quality, efficient beverage experience for guests while adhering to all licensing and safety regulations. This role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, team leadership, and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring high-quality and efficient service.
- Ensure that guest service standards are consistently met, evaluated, and improved.
- Set up the bar area according to predetermined standards and ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Comply with and enforce licensing regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages.
- Train bar staff on beverage preparation, presentation, and service techniques.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all beverages served and ensure team members possess this knowledge.
- Enforce health and safety, and fire regulations, and ensure all team members are properly trained.
- Ensure all bar staff adhere to uniform standards and present themselves professionally.
- Handle staff shortages and report absences according to company procedures.
- Maximize revenue through upselling, customer service training, and motivational techniques.
- Complete administrative tasks related to staffing, scheduling, and stock management.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.
- Monitor bar stock levels and assist in inventory management and ordering supplies.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, guest-focused personality.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of beverages, mixology techniques, and bar operations.
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations and conduct team training sessions.
- Flexibility to handle various situations, including staff shortages and guest complaints.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Level of Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in hospitality or mixology are preferred.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) experience in a bar supervisory role or mixologist position.
