Job Summary:      Looking for a Purchasing Officer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

  • Preserve records of goods ordered as well as received
  • Assess purchase order claims and contracts to ensure conformance to company policies
  • Evaluate market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future goods availability
  • Manage the purchasing department budgets
  • Settle vendor or contractor grievances
  • Identify vendors of materials, equipment or supplies and interview them in order to determine product availability and prices
  • Assess and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids
  • Generate bid awards requiring board approval
  • Generate reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
  • Generate and process requisitions as well as purchase orders for supplies and equipment

Job Qualifications and Experience 

  • Bachelors Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or its equivalent
  • At least 1+ years of experience in the same field, preferably in purchasing heavy vehicles as well as equipment spare parts
  • Strong knowledge supply chain procedures
  • Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices
  • Expertise in purchasing software
  • Ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysis
