Job Summary:
The Front Office Host is responsible for providing exceptional reception services, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out processes, addressing guest queries, and performing audits. This role plays a key part in delivering a welcoming and efficient guest experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests during check-in and check-out with a focus on delivering excellent service.
  • Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Complete daily audit procedures and ensure accurate billing for guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of room categories, rates, and hotel promotions to provide information and upsell services.
  • Maximize room occupancy using up-selling techniques and promote hotel facilities.
  • Process payments accurately, including foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash transactions in compliance with hotel policies.
  • Maintain clear communication with the Front Office Manager and other departments regarding guest feedback and relevant operational updates.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Operate property management systems and front-of-house equipment following company procedures.
  • Assist other departments when necessary to ensure smooth hotel operations.
  • Attend and participate in training sessions to maintain service excellence.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage guest interactions effectively.
  • Proficiency in handling payments, processing transactions, and managing guest accounts.
  • Good understanding of hotel management systems and basic IT proficiency.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in billing and reservation records.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, with flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
