Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of all guest rooms and public areas, while providing exceptional service and maintaining high operational standards. The role involves efficiently coordinating housekeeping tasks and laundry services to enhance the overall guest experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and cleaning materials.
  • Assist in delegating tasks within the housekeeping and laundry teams to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Oversee the laundering and distribution of linens, uniforms, and guest laundry services.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel health and safety regulations, particularly regarding cleaning materials and guest room conditions.
  • Check and replenish room amenities, towels, and linens as needed.
  • Handle lost and found items, ensuring they are documented and returned to guests where applicable.
  • Support housekeeping team members during busy periods or in case of absences.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure rooms meet brand cleanliness and presentation standards.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and standards, as well as health and safety regulations.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, with flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 12 months in housekeeping or a related role.
