Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at the Lost Chambers in Atlantis, The Palm. The Cashier will be responsible for processing sales transactions, assisting guests with inquiries, and promoting the aquarium’s conservation efforts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently for ticket sales and retail purchases.
  • Greet guests with a welcoming attitude, serving as the first point of contact for the Lost Chambers.
  • Provide information about aquarium exhibits, ticket options, and ongoing conservation programs.
  • Promote and upsell products and services to guests, including special tours and experiences.
  • Maintain accurate daily financial records and reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Ensure the ticketing and POS systems are operational and report any technical issues promptly.
  • Assist in crowd control, ensuring smooth guest entry and exit into the aquarium.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, cleanliness, and cash handling.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

 

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in cash handling and credit card transactions in a high-traffic environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Experience with upselling and promoting products/services to guests.
  • Familiarity with ticketing or POS systems, particularly Galaxy software, is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to manage guest inquiries with professionalism.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time; requires flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.

 

Experience in Months:
24+ months (2 years) experience in customer service or cashier roles, preferably in hospitality or entertainment sectors.
