Job Summary:
We are looking for energetic and safety-conscious Lifeguards to join our team at Atlantis, The Palm. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our guests across multiple resort areas, including pools, the waterpark, and beach locations. This role requires physical fitness, strong swimming abilities, and a passion for guest service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor guest safety in designated pool, waterpark, and beach areas, responding quickly and effectively in emergencies.
  • Enforce resort safety regulations, pool policies, and waterpark rules to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Provide clear instructions to riders and swimmers, ensuring a smooth and safe experience.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a clean, organized pool and recreation area.
  • Engage with guests, answer inquiries, and address issues in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Participate in monthly safety and skills training sessions to enhance performance and ensure lifeguard competence.
  • Report safety incidents or hazards to supervisors and complete any necessary documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to swim 200 meters continuously and tread water for at least 2 minutes.
  • Physically fit and able to perform duties such as lifting guests, standing for long periods, and working in hot conditions.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
  • Previous experience as a lifeguard or swimming instructor is preferred but not essential.

 

Level of Education:
No formal education required; lifeguard certification is preferred but training will be provided.

 

Work Hours:
Full-time, 48 hours per week, 5-6 days a week with rotational shifts across resort areas.

 

Experience in Months:
Previous experience in lifeguarding or related roles is preferred but not required; strong swimming skills and physical fitness are essential.
