Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and overall functionality of guest rooms and public areas, providing exceptional service to guests. This role also involves assisting with laundry operations and coordinating daily housekeeping activities to meet hotel standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to meet hotel standards.
  • Respond to guest requests for housekeeping services, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and report any shortages to supervisors.
  • Handle laundry services, including collecting, washing, drying, ironing, and distributing linens and uniforms.
  • Assist with managing lost and found items, ensuring proper logging and safe storage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols in all housekeeping operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance issues or guest service requests.
  • Monitor team performance, ensuring consistency and quality in cleaning and laundry tasks.
  • Train junior housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques and hotel procedures.
  • Maintain housekeeping records, including daily room status, cleaning logs, and maintenance requests.
  • Assist with special guest requests, such as flowers, special linens, and personalized room settings.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role in a hospitality environment.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Basic computer skills for logging guest information and maintaining housekeeping records.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time with flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
