Job Summary:
Join the InterContinental Dubai Marina as a Housekeeping Attendant and become a genuine ambassador of the InterContinental® brand. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort in our luxury hotel environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing furniture.
  • Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and beverages to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Report maintenance issues, damage, or missing items in guest rooms to the supervisor promptly.
  • Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and elevators, to enhance guest experience.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing friendly and professional service.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines while performing cleaning duties.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning assignments as directed by the supervisor or manager.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance cleaning skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
  • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies inventory, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with colleagues across departments.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a housekeeping role within a 5-star hotel environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with guests and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with special cleaning techniques (e.g., carpet cleaning, upholstery care) is a plus.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible scheduling, including availability for shifts on weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry.
