Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team at Vignette Collection. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our guest rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms according to hotel standards.
  • Replace soiled linens with clean ones and replenish supplies in guest rooms.
  • Maintain proper usage and inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Take accurate room status reports at the end of each shift and communicate updates to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Organize and keep linen closets, supply closets, and landings clean and orderly.
  • Empty vacuum cleaners regularly to ensure efficient operation.
  • Report any maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Offer assistance to guests and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Use cleaning in-progress signs and keep doors closed when servicing rooms to maintain privacy.
  • Call room service for the removal of trays or trolleys and report lost and found items to security.
  • Identify and report any rooms that do not require service, such as "Do Not Disturb" or "Not Slept In" rooms.
  • Change mattress protectors, blankets, bedspreads, and valances as needed.
  • Maintain high grooming and uniform standards to reflect the hotel's image.
  • Follow all department policies and procedures and participate in ongoing training.

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or vocational training; 1 year of work experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential; knowledge of a second language, particularly Arabic, is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Friendly and pleasant disposition with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, as well as bend and kneel frequently.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

 

Level of Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 12 months of relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
