am a graduate student from American University of Sharjah (AUS), the 2nd highest university in UAE, with a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences and a concentration in Chemistry and Analysis, as well as a minor in Environment and Water Engineering. I was awarded the active student scholarship in both my junior and senior year for being an active member in the AUS Community Services department as I volunteered in over 35 events and organized over 10 of them. Organizing these events have allowed me to obtain leadership skills when leading teams of volunteers through different tasks, social skills, as I communicate with different levels of professions, public speaking skills when representing the department at formal forums, teamwork cooperation, organization, and personal management skills. As of my profession, I have undergone various types of research that dealt with water, air, and soil pollution. I have also interned in Tadweer, a center of waste management, that allowed me to acquire and apply many of my environmental management skills. Alongside, I have also worked backstage and as a hostess for many events under the university’s name, that helped in enhancing my social skills as I am an outgoing person who enjoys social interactions and meeting new people.
