I have been working as Head of Finance of Life Group, a large group in whole-sale & Retail operations in United Arab Emirates. The Group imports from US, Europe and Australia and distributes across UAE. In Retail operation, the group own 200 retail outlets throughout UAE. Apart from this, the Group has been managing multiple properties in Dubai.

My Responsibilities

• Heading the Finance & Accounting functions of the group of companies running in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
• Consolidation of the Accounts of the Group Companies and preparing the group financials in line with the IFRS requirement.
• Responsible for developing and implementing financial and operational controls and processes that improve profitability scenario and return on investment.
• Coordinating with internal and external auditor – Grand Thornton
• Preparation of monthly MIS Reports on profitability, Balance sheet, Cash flow, AR Statement, Bank position
• Maintain banking relationships - for arranging facilities – Overdraft, Trust Receipts, discounting, guarantees, term loans etc. for the group companies.
• Preparing business plan & annual budgets and conducting quarterly reviews to track the budgets.
• Preparation of strategic business plans for potential new projects and analyze the feasibility
• Negotiation with the suppliers for pricing and payment terms, reviewing of supplier and customer contracts.
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage, Registration & compliance under UAE VAT Law

AlMansoori Specialized Engineering is a leading Engineering group having head-quarters in Abu Dhabi, UAE and serving internationally. It employs a workforce of 3,000 across 24 countries throughout the world. AlMansoori has several Joint ventures with a number of internationally recognized companies. The group is in Engineering Services, Contracting, manufacturing and trading.

I handled the Consolidation of the Accounts of the Group Companies and preparing the group financials in line with the IFRS requirement, actively participated in the implementation of SAP across companies in the Group, supervising the preparation of monthly MIS Reports on profitability, Balance sheet, Cash flow, AR Statement, Bank position, maintained the banking relationships - for arranging facilities – Overdraft, Trust Receipts, discounting, guarantees, term loans etc. for the group companies, overseeing the Accounts of the JV Companies and ensure that the operations are in line with the JV agreements and ensure dividend payment from the joint venture partners, Preparing business plan & annual budgets and conducting quarterly reviews to track the budgets, participating in the tendering process, negotiated with suppliers for pricing and payment terms. Reviewed supplier and customer contracts, maintained appropriate insurance coverage, compliance under UAE VAT etc.

Passed the final examination of the chartered accountants of India in the year 1984.
