Pre-Contract Duties:

 Study the tender documents and blueprints.
 Prepare the technical queries and request for any missing documents in the tender package.
 Floating enquires to suppliers and coordinating with the suppliers for the price lists and quotations.
 Responsible for preparing the MTO, bill of quantities, costing sheets and summaries. Maintains estimating database and product lists from the Tender stage.
 Responsible to prepare comparison sheet for MEP sub-contractors’ quotations and suppliers’ materials for higher management approvals.
 Calculate and estimate the cost of civil works such as excavation, concrete encasement and manholes for Electrical and ELV system uPVC duct sleeves.
 Attend tender review meeting with senior management to finalize the project cost.
 Communicate the key points and special needs of project to the top management.

Post-Contract Duties:

 Study the IFC documents and Compare the tender and IFC documents for identify scope inclusion if any.
 Preparation of target cost / budget for Electrical and ELV works.
 Guide draughtsman to prepare Electrical and ELV systems’ shop drawings.
 Technical and commercial evaluation on suppliers’ quotations and make cost comparison sheet.
 Responsible to prepare Variation Order as per site instruction and/or for Provisional Sum.

Job Responsibilities:
 Ensure all the tender documents received for estimation purpose.
 Initiate BOQ preparation and conduct close outs as per deadlines.
 Solicit and maintain communication with contractors and vendors.
 Seek and qualify vendors.
 Ensure that vendors are aware of the tentative project schedule and ensure commitment on supply once awarded.
 Show aggressiveness, negotiations skill to gain better pricing from vendors.
 Review drawings with AutoCAD personnel on correctness of the drawing details and specifications and inform the project management team highlighting areas of concern.
 Double check and ensure that all specification in the drawings are 100% reflective in the BOQ.
 Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of scope of specific trades assigned ensuring that they are no miscounts.
 Perform a comprehensive “bid day analysis”.
 Review job cost with the top management and project management team.
 Transmit addendum and other bid information to the top management.
 Enter all relative information and maintain well organized records of the same.
 Include value engineering ideas into every bid.
 Once tender is completed, incorporate all relevant details and forward to the top management to review and approve prior to submission.
 Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction.
 Double check all critical work deliverables to zero down on mistakes.
 Develop creative solutions to problems.
 Build strong win-win relationships with vendors and subcontractors for a healthy long-term relationship.
 Quantities take off from tender drawing and cross checking with client BOQ.
 Get the quotation from vendors and doing cost comparison.
 Noted the specified makes and read clearly specification and drawing
