I worked for many years at a technical university and I also have much experience of teaching multinational students, especially Arabic, Chinese and Italian, both in the context of a language school and pre-sessional courses at Sheffield University.
I have taught all levels, also mixed ability classes. Moreover, I am an oral FC examiner and I have successfully prepared many students for Cambridge FC, CAE and IELTS exams.
As an active team player I can work well under pressure. I am also diligent, responsible and punctual. I am definitely able to teach your students well. While working for Sheffield University I have learnt effective lesson preparation, time organization and flipped learning teaching style. I also widely use educational technology here. I assist students in tasks preparations, mark and evaluate their performance giving constructive feedback.
I always pay much attention to the details of written assignments and provide students with many examples, explanations, and much practice so that they could improve their writing skills significantly.
I have good computer skills and use interactive boards effectively which helps to provide a variety of practice and focus students on main points. Concerning motivation, I try to involve students in the lesson process as much as possible and stimulate their learner autonomy. I create possibilities for sharing knowledge in pairs and groups which I find very effective.
I can speak German, Russian and Italian which helps me to understand particular language learning problems of international students.
I have done plenty of technical, medical, music, and philosophical translations so I am familiar with many specific language areas.
Now I work as a freelance teacher. I prepare for Cambridge and IELTS exams a lot. I also worked as a DOS in a small language school in my city for three years.
