• Study/Review of tender documents, scope of work, drawings, BOQ, specifications, client’s requirement and etc. from the tender documents for proper estimating works
• Preparing technical queries for ambiguities in drawings, specifications and BOQ
• Co-ordination with quantity surveyors and material take off when required
• Prioritize RFQ’s that require more time to get quotation and major cost items
• Prepare & send RFQ for all the items to all the approved/ approved equal suppliers/ sub-contractor to obtain required quotations
• Follow up with the supplier/sub-contractor to obtain quotation in time, clarify to all their queries and meetings with the supplier/ sub-contractor when required
• Technical Evaluation of supplier/sub-contractor quotations as per tender requirements
• Pricing material and labor cost of each BOQ item in the price comparison sheets, by using the quotations and a pre–determined manpower production rates
• Preparing Price comparison sheet for each system and final cost summary
• Preparing BOQ unit prices as per tender BOQ format and filling
• Check all the addendums and communications received from the client, ensuring that all items are being clarified and considered in the pricing
• Preparing Qualifications, Assumptions and Exclusions if any
• Preparing tender adjustment schedule with unit prices, when applicable
• Preparing price analysis, proposed vendor list, data sheet and qualifications as applicable
• Attend Pre tender meetings and site visits
• Attend meetings, trainings as scheduled or organized by management
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality management system for Estimation work

• Review of Tender documents on receipt to ensure its completeness
• Organize / take part in bid initiation & review meeting
• Ensure that clarifications are raised well in time to get better clarity on bid submission
• Co-ordinate & follow-up to ensuring post bid clarifications are addressed
• All in-house co-ordination for preparation of bid including follow-up, collection of input from various sub-contractors
• Clear understanding of work scope & best estimation with respect to execution of project
• Ensure that commercial submissions to tenders are fully complied with all necessary details
• Responsible to verify detailed MTOs (quantity take-off) from tender documentation
• Ensure the Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice. Sufficient explanatory notes are to be including referring the location of supplementary information
• Ensure completeness of Subcontract Enquiry Packages and availability of Subcontract offers well in time
• Ensure Subcontractor responses are complete & tabulated accurately on a Bid Evaluation spreadsheet
• Ensure the Indirect Cost Estimate is correctly prepared and costed
• Proactively work with the Procurement Group to ensure Vendors RFQ Technical and Commercial Bid Evaluations are completed in a timely manner
• Present to Proposals Manager for review the Cost Estimate in detail prior to review of the tender by Management
• Assist Proposals Manager with the preparation of a list of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal
• Ensure that Clients pricing and technical tender schedules are complete and accurate
• When requested, carry out peer review of estimates compiled by others, checking for completeness, pricing accuracy and adequate manning and resource requirements
