I am writing to apply for the position of Supervisor of English.
I have worked as a School inspector with Tribal Company in the private schools of the Northern Emirates last year.
I also worked as a supervisor of English for the Ministry of Education in the UAE for more than ten years. During this time, I was an active member of a school inspection team. We carried out a large number of inspections as we used to be assigned a number of 6 –7 schools every year. I was also responsible for training a number of teachers on teaching, testing and classroom management as well as school monitoring and development. I was also responsible for designing and reviewing final exams, creating and reviewing a large number of questions for the question bank of the Ministry of Education, designing and reviewing tasks for the smart learning project. I also participated in writing books for the Adult Learning Program and translated social study books for use in private schools that follow the ministry’s system.
I taught ESP cources at University level since 1992 as a part time lecturer for a number of universities including Ajman University, Al Ittihad University, Hamdan Bin Mohammad University and Sharjah University. I have taught different subjects such as English 101, English 102, English for Computer Science, English for Pharmacy, English for Dentistry, English for Health Science and English for Business. I am also Proficient in preparing students for IELTS and TOEFL tests.
Befor becoming a supervisor of English, I worked for 26 years as a teacher of English in the largest two secondary schools in Sharjah;Al Orouba and Halwan Schools.
