I worked with the Higher Colleges of Technology HCT for more than 10 years. And before joining HCT, I worked for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum IT Education Project (ITEP) as an IT Trainer for more than 6 years.
In my last role as a lecturer in the Computer Information Science (CIS) department, I was responsible for teaching many CIS courses for different levels, like: (Object Oriented programming, Mobile Application, Multimedia Design, Web Design, Game Design, Information Systems, IT Project and Work-placement Course) , advising 25 students per semester, and attending professional development sessions. I have also demonstrated an ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues and students.
As a Senior lecturer, I was the system team leader for many courses amongst 17 HCT campuses and more than 15 teachers per course. Where I was responsible for managing teachers and students, leading regular meetings, developing courses (material-syllabus-online rubrics-online common exams & projects on blackboard), analyzing courses results, improving courses, and producing reports and feedback to top management.
I was also responsible for mentoring two Emirati graduate trainees for 2 years to become full-time lecturers.
I was also active in some extra activities, such as: leading the “Peer-to-Peer club” to help with students’ retention. I used to train and supervise students to become trainers for their peers, and run official sessions under my supervisions.
I was also leading two student clubs “The Coding Club” and “The Giving Club”. With the Coding club, I used to work with my students in many events inside and outside the college to represent the CIS department. While with the Giving club, I used to encourage students to help the community by charity events and visits.
I was also representing the CIS department as a member of “The People of Determination Committee” in HCT, by participating in many events and activities.
I am a self-motivated, hard worker and organized person who strive for excellence by trying to put quality into everything I do. As you can see, I have more than18 years experience in the education and IT fields, and I wish my knowledge and skills built up during this time make me eligible for a role in your organization.
