Being a CIPD & CPTP certified, strategic HR professional with 8+ years of core experience in international human resource management and business support initiatives and am seeking opportunities within the HR/operations management space. I started my career in the Human Resources field and have enjoyed every bit of it since then. A day in the life of an HR person is multifaceted. I have gone from managing full-cycle recruitment of talent to investigating ISO compliance within the span of half-a-day. I believe that the driving force behind the success of any company is its employees and HR is the heart of the company as it plays a significant role in maintaining that spark alive in employees through specific focus on employee welfare.
After my tenure as an HR Executive with Power Point E & M works, I had an opportunity to be the Operation Manager for an SME, where I had to build the HR Department ground-up with new policy structures & procedures while handling the Operations. The vast knowledge I accrued in HR arena came in handy when I developed and implemented new systems which improved the existing structures, such as:
• New incentive schemes and rosters that enabled seamless operational flow and improved productivity by 35%.
• New employee performance rating assessments that structured a comprehensive plan for employee relations, career coaching and staff training sessions.
I have learnt that my analytical thinking, planning while leaving room for the unexpected, equal respect for colleagues from all walks of life, and learning from my failures have helped me grow alongside the organisation I worked with. At the end of the day, I yearn to be better than who I was yesterday and lead the team by example.
