Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress at Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests in the Afya All Day Dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure guests have an outstanding dining experience by providing attentive, efficient, and personalized service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with guests, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.
  • Guide guests through the menu, offering suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Accurately take and fulfill guest orders in a timely and organized manner.
  • Maintain high service standards in collaboration with kitchen colleagues.
  • Handle guest complaints or queries with empathy and professionalism, escalating to the Service Manager if necessary.
  • Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper setup before and after service.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area for daily service and special events.
  • Keep track of inventory related to dining area supplies and report shortages to management.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in luxury hospitality or customer service roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a warm and friendly character.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Punctual, with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive team player who embodies the Shangri-La Values.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Knowledge of menu items, food and beverage pairings, and upselling techniques.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.

Work Hours:
Full-time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Experience in Months:
12+ months of experience in a similar role within luxury hospitality or fine dining environments.
