Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, timely, and efficient service. This role requires extensive knowledge of menu offerings and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service, hygiene, and safety.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring excellent dining experiences.
  • Manage guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with licensing regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and dietary options.
  • Ensure all food and beverage orders are prepared and delivered to a high standard.
  • Keep the dining area and all service stations well-stocked, clean, and organized.
  • Follow proper procedures for addressing guest complaints or issues.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire safety regulations, and health and hygiene standards.
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
  • Assist in setting up tables for events and clearing them efficiently after service.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Support team members and assist other departments as required to ensure smooth operations.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations, including handling guest concerns.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and handling procedures.
  • Previous experience in cash handling and use of POS systems is an advantage.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 12 months of experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry.
