Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You will manage the team, coordinate tasks, and uphold brand standards in all housekeeping functions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the implementation of housekeeping standards and procedures across all areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to maintain cleanliness and quality.
  • Recommend improvements and provide ongoing training for housekeeping staff to ensure standards are consistently met.
  • Open and close shifts, ensuring smooth and effective shift handovers.
  • Manage the distribution and collection of keys, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing calls related to housekeeping operations.
  • Lead daily shift briefings to communicate hotel activities, priorities, and operational requirements to the team.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of housekeeping systems and procedures, ensuring team compliance.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive operations and address any guest or operational needs.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with both guests and internal teams, anticipating and addressing needs to exceed expectations.
  • Assist guests by providing information, responding to inquiries, and escorting them within the hotel when necessary.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, and manage reordering processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all housekeeping operations.
  • Participate in hotel meetings, contributing to the operational planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership by fostering a positive work environment and encouraging teamwork among staff.
  • Prepare and submit daily housekeeping reports and updates for management review.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Flexibility in handling shifts and various housekeeping tasks.
  • Proven ability to care for and motivate employees, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail in ensuring housekeeping quality and cleanliness.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial management, including Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a similar environment (4-5* hotel preferred).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Knowledge of hotel systems, including housekeeping and inventory management software.
  • Commitment to upholding hotel brand standards and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Ability to work well with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds, understanding the global nature of the business.
  • Participation in regular team training and development programs.
