Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Head Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring high cleanliness standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and assign tasks to Housekeeping Supervisors and Room Attendants.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Oversee the correct use, storage, and economical application of cleaning agents and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, clean, and safely stored, reporting any required repairs promptly.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules for rooms, carpets, upholstery, and general public areas.
- Train staff on hotel cleanliness standards, safety protocols, and guest service skills, ensuring consistent performance.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinating replenishment as needed.
- Handle guest complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Ensure the safe handling and labeling of lost and found items, following hotel protocols.
- Assist in planning deep-cleaning programs and any additional housekeeping projects as required.
- Work closely with other departments to maintain smooth daily operations and address special guest needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a hotel housekeeping department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping standards, cleaning agents, and equipment use.
- Experience in training and developing staff members.
- Proficient in using housekeeping management software; knowledge of Opera PMS is an advantage.
Level of Education:
- Degree or diploma in hospitality or related field.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 24 months in a similar supervisory role.
