Job Summary:
A Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional support to the Housekeeping and Laundry teams, ensuring timely responses to guest requests and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service within the hotel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments, delegating tasks efficiently among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards for cleanliness and service in all areas of Housekeeping and Laundry.
  • Monitor the performance and appearance of Housekeeping and Laundry Team Members, providing training and support as needed.
  • Deliver excellent guest service by promptly addressing guest inquiries and requests.
  • Manage room availability and coordinate with the Floor Housekeeping Supervisor for timely room releases.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, master key releases, and inventory control for uniforms and linens.
  • Review guest information in the CRM daily to ensure preferences and special requests are met.
  • Organize special requests, such as floral arrangements and embroidered linens for significant occasions.
  • Conduct monthly audits of the Lost and Found items and manage donations.
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of uniforms, coordinating cleaning and repairs.
  • Facilitate the flow of documents and communication within the department, including daily linen releases.
  • Assist with guest clothing release for laundry services and monitor monthly laundry expenses.
  • Step in to cover Laundry Attendant duties during staff absences or days off.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or laundry role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer programs, including Microsoft Office, for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining cleanliness standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 12 months of relevant experience in housekeeping or laundry services
