Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards while delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves cleaning guest rooms, maintaining public areas, and ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests.
Responsibilities:
- Receive daily work assignments, keys, and supplies from the supervisor.
- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas as per hotel standards.
- Ensure all fire exits and stairways are clear of obstructions.
- Report any maintenance issues immediately for prompt resolution.
- Pick up litter from corridors and pathways and ensure all areas are tidy.
- Vacuum carpets, dust and wipe furniture, and clean ashtrays and wastebaskets.
- Make beds, clean sinks, bathtubs, toilets, tiles, mirrors, and polish brass and metal surfaces.
- Replenish bathroom and room supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked and neat.
- Spot clean carpets and remove stains when necessary.
- Keep guest corridors, service pantries, and service areas organized and clutter-free.
- Remove Room Service trays and trolleys from guest rooms and hallways.
- Coordinate with valet services for guest laundry, dry cleaning, or pressing requests.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene standards at all times, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with special cleaning tasks or deep cleaning projects as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Vocational training or experience in housekeeping within a hotel or similar environment.
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Good command of English (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and maintain high attention to detail.
- Physically fit to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
