Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Waiter to join our team at Saffron, Atlantis, The Palm. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional fine dining service, manage front-of-house operations, and enhance the guest experience through professional interactions and attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly, establishing a friendly and professional rapport.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to waiting staff to ensure high service standards are maintained.
  • Familiarize yourself with the complete food and beverage menu, including daily specials and promotional activities.
  • Offer expert recommendations and detailed information about menu items to guests and colleagues.
  • Monitor the consistency and quality of food and beverage items served, ensuring they meet the restaurant’s standards.
  • Address any guest complaints or issues swiftly, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery and presentation.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members to enhance their service skills.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and service stations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of service standards and procedures.
  • Uphold health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all service protocols.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Head Waiter or in a similar role within a high-volume fine dining restaurant.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and managing a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings and menu items.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other restaurant management software.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in hospitality or restaurant management is preferred.

Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Experience in Months:
24-36 months of relevant experience in fine dining service and hospitality.
