Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Commis 2 – F&B Culinary to join the team at Jumeirah Al Naseem. The role involves assisting in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality standards in line with Jumeirah’s luxury offerings, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, measure, mix, and prepare meal ingredients, sauces, and seasonings as per recipes.
  • Prepare dishes such as salads and sauces with attention to detail and exquisite presentation.
  • Assist in portioning, chopping, and cooking of meats, vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
  • Ensure proper storage of food items in refrigerators and freezers, and manage stock levels.
  • Document inventory and notify supervisors of low stock situations to avoid shortages.
  • Follow set guidelines for ingredient collection, food portioning, and presentation as per recipe specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and kitchen areas, adhering to hygiene standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions and ensure timely follow-up with necessary repairs.
  • Attend daily meetings with the Demi Chef, Chef De Partie, and other kitchen staff.
  • Support team members to achieve common culinary goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment procedures and HACCP standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail, especially in food presentation and quality control.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to contribute to a harmonious kitchen environment.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety protocols.

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification is a plus.

Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexible scheduling based on operational needs.

Experience in Months:
Minimum of 24 months of experience in a luxury 5-star hotel or fine-dining restaurant. Prior Dubai experience is preferred.
