Job Summary:
A Recreation Pool Attendant is responsible for enhancing the guest experience at the hotel’s recreational facilities, including the pool and spa area. This role involves welcoming guests warmly, distributing pool towels, and ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests promptly with a sincere and friendly welcome upon arrival at the pool area.
  • Assist guests with their needs related to the pool and beach areas, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Respond to guest requests, comments, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool and beach areas, including emptying used towel bins, organizing furniture, and collecting and neatly arranging towels.
  • Confirm guest registration prior to issuing resort property, such as towels and lounge chairs.
  • Monitor inventory levels of pool equipment and towels to minimize losses and ensure adequate supplies.
  • Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
  • Assist in conducting regular safety checks of the pool area, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities and services to guests to enhance their stay.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on safety protocols and customer service techniques.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or recreational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Intermediate English language skills for effective communication with guests.
  • Basic computer knowledge for inventory management and reporting.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations, with basic first aid and CPR certification preferred.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

 

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in customer service or recreation roles.
