Job Summary:
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of the entire hotel, ensuring high standards are met. You will manage a team of room attendants and support staff, coordinate cleaning schedules, and address guest service needs, while maintaining the hotel’s brand standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Allocate daily cleaning duties to housekeeping team members, ensuring efficient and thorough service.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, service areas, storerooms, and corridors to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Supervise deep cleaning projects and coordinate special cleaning tasks as needed.
  • Report and follow up on maintenance issues or repair needs promptly.
  • Manage stock control for cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment, ensuring adequate availability.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to room attendants and other housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure VIP and special guest requirements are met with exceptional service.
  • Monitor compliance with hotel health, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Handle guest complaints related to room cleanliness and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience and cleanliness in shared areas.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve performance goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well with team members and guests.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and experience in maintaining equipment and stock control.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office programs.

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in hospitality or housekeeping management is preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of experience in a housekeeping supervisory role.
