• To ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• To participate in HAZOP / HAZID studies, reviews etc.
• Reviewal of PFD & P&ID done during the commissioning phase by our team.
• Assess root causes and take remedial actions to ensure safety of the personnel/environment/plant and to maintain the product quality & avoid production loss
• Ensure the operability and maintainability of control & monitoring system, alarm management system, Fire & Gas monitoring system, ESD system, rotating & stationary equipments etc by co-ordinating with maintenance departments (e.g. instruments / electrical / mechanical / civil) using SAP.
• During emergencies, (e.g. fire or gas leak) lead the team of the operators as site emergency controller in the plant to control/monitor the situation. Ensure the safe shutdown of the plant by close co-ordination and communication with the panel operators. Execute the evacuation of all the personnel to the safe location, if required
• A keen planner, strategist, implementer & team player with expertise in routine & non-routine operations.
• To prepare periodical MIS and progress reports to keep top management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision making
• Suggest plant or operational modifications to minimise production loss, reduce environmental pollution or to improve safety and equipment efficiency.
• Develops Standard operation Procedures for routine, non-routine. Start up and Shutdown Activities.
