Seraina Schottland (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based artist currently working as the Resident Teaching Artist at Walnut Street Theatre. She works as the lead teacher for their Adopt-A-School program and teaches in their Disney Musical for Schools program.

She began as a professional songwriter and vocalist at the age of 12 and has since performed in both theatrical productions and music festivals across multiple U.S. cities and internationally.

Seraina is an alumna of George Washington University where she studied psychology, cognitive neuroscience, theatre and playwrighting. She is also an alumna of the Berklee College of Music Performance Program where she studied voice and songwriting and was recognized as one of the top songwriters in the program.

She is one of three founding members of Id Circo Theatre Group - a theatre company founded to celebrate stories that need to be expressed and experienced live on stage.

As a proud biracial, queer artist who identifies as neurodivergent, she aims to create more artistic spaces for the stories of those in the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and Neurodivergent communities. She is also passionate about increasing theatre education accessibility to the neurodivergent and disabled communities.

Other areas of interest include positive psychology, movement, meditation, new works, Shakespeare and devised theatre.
