Fire & Gas Maintenance
- Preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting and shut down maintenance activities on Instrumentation.
- Perform routine, preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance activities and checks on all fire & gas instrument equipment systems.
- Troubleshoots, identifies, isolates, repairs instrument component failures, and returns system to normal operation with due regard to minimization of equipment down time.
- Removes, dismantles, overhauls/repairs and installs electric, pneumatic, electronic or hydraulic control system such as control valves and actuators, recorders, measuring and recording instruments in the field or in the workshop.
- Participates and contributes in development and implementation of corrective actions to improve reliability of Instrumentation and control system, in coordination with other departments and personnel.
- Performs modification of instrument and electronic equipment’s as per the change requests and updates all related drawings to reflect the actual changes.
- Responds to emergency call outs, identifies and repairs the faulty equipment to ensure equipment is returned to normal service.
- Provide assistance to the maintenance planner with scheduling and planning maintenance tasks.
- Update and maintain current electronic and electrical schematics, wiring and instrumentation diagrams, technical manuals and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
- Reassemble and replace instruments in a system with the help of hand tools
