I am experienced Edexcel trained teacher of economics with a experience in UAE.

I have earned Ph.D degree in Economics. The title of my Dissertation was “Implications of Trade Liberalization and Total Factor Productivity Growth on Textile and Clothing Sector of Pakistan. This thesis was evaluated by two foreign evaluators of technically and academically advanced countries as per HEC Pakistan policy. I have rich exposure of teaching, research, and data handling. I have been teaching for the last fifteen years. During this period, I have taught to graduate and undergraduate level classes, variety of economics subjects i.e. microeconomics, macroeconomics, international trade and econometrics, managerial Economics which have been my area of interest. My specialized area is international trade, Macroeconomics and I taught these subjects to M.Phil/Ph.D students and Under graduate Students. I have developed the contents of these courses following advanced level books along with contemporary research articles.

I have supervised 3 Ph.D. students and 50 M.Phil. Students and published 33 research articles in International Journals.  I was invited in different conferences as a speaker/discussant and also participated in international conferences to present research articles. I have been performing administrative duties as a Head of the Department and developed different programs offered at department.

 

Administrative Responsibilities

 

I have been performing administrative duties as a Head of the Department and developed different programs offered at department. As a HOD I performed responsibilities of all academic related matters including development of curriculum, monitoring faculty performance, managing students’ activities, conducting workshops, seminars, conferences, managing admission, preparing admission test for department, monitoring enrollments, preparing work load of faculty, liaison with registrar, quality enhancement cell, event management cell, finance department, preparing annual budget, reporting to Dean, member of different university committees, maintaining students files and extra-curricular activities, such as arrangements of industry trips, internships, coordinating in hiring process of faculty and administrative staff

 

Teaching Philosophy

 

I am industrious, hardworking teacher, who always embraces challenges and comes up with constructive approach of teaching by generating new ideas of the model and finding out of the box solution of the complex problems. Most of the time I focus on research and try to develop research interest and ethics in students. By inculcating new quantitative research techniques, I encourage them to present something different from traditional approach. Teaching has been my passion.
