• Conduct or assist a team of hosts and hostesses by greeting, setting up seats and thanking customers.
• Answer menu questions and make recommendations when appropriate or requested.
• Take orders and serve food and drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverage to customers.
• Recommend wines and other beverages to customers. Prepare food, cocktails, coffee and tea.
• Conduct consistent verification with customers to ensure satisfaction and take action to correct any issues.
• Serve customers with appetizers, soups, main courses and desserts according to customer orders.
• Follow defined service standards while serving the guest.
• Use the POS system to register the order and calculate the invoice total, receive money from customers and hold change or carry out card transactions.
• Participate in decorating on special occasions such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
• Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress and appearance at all times
• Understand and respect good food handling methods, safety and hygiene standards.
• Take reservation phone calls.
• Perform all tasks assigned to a server.
