I, Dr. Hussain Ahmad, come from North Waziristan Tribal District with my primary education from my native village Hassukhel,   and secondary school from government higher secondary school Hurmaz, Mir Ali while I did my graduation from government college Miranshah and post graduation from postgraduate college, Bannu with distinction.
Having inquisitive and curious nature for higher education, I travelled to Karachi to take admission in PhD in HEJ Research institute of Chemistry,  university of Karachi. I was fortunate enough to have the supervision of a world renowned scientist, Prof. Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman  known for his expertise in natural products Chemistry.
Then I had the opportunity to meet a very kind and able person, Prof. Guenther  Snatzke of Ruhr university,  Bochum, Germany known as POPE  of Circular Dichroism, in a seminar organized by HEJ Research I nstitute , Karachi.
It is worth to mention that under the supervision of Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, I was successful in isolation and structural elucidation of a novel alkaloid, Waziristanin, having anticancer properties while under the supervision of Prof. Snatzke, I was triumphant in establishing a semi-empirically based dodecan rule used for determination of absolute configuration of chiral compounds.
After having completed PhD, I was then allowed to work as postdoc fellow in the same institute. During this period, I worked on the  application of our newly established rule mentioned in the above para.
Employment:
In the year 1987, I was appointed as lecturer in Chemistry on adhoc basis. Then after one year, in 1988, the post was regularised. As lecturer in Chemistry, I have more than ten years experience in teaching Chemistry on graduate and post graduate level.
In the year 1998, I was appointed as Deputy Director in Environmental Protection Agency,  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while in 2008, I was promoted to the post of Director ( Administration). In February, 2019, I was retired from service.

During the period from 1998 to 2019, I got expertise in various disciplines including but not limited to :
