Duties & Responsibilities.

• Specifying controls for engineering hazards in accordance with procedure and permit – to –work systems
• Diagnosing and Resolving non – compliance and significant, complex problems.
• Skilled in performing Cold / Hot alignment of all types of major rotating equipment at the site
• Ability to commission and test mechanical systems
• Identifying spare parts requirements/ updating re–order quantity for rotating equipment.
• Developed preventive maintenance programs to avoid any shut-downs.
• Receive work orders, review assigned work, arrange for necessary materials, tools, equipment and ‘permits to work’, assign tasks and follow-up until satisfactory completion.
• Knowledge in Establishing Job plans, Preparing JSA, TRA and job durations.
• Carryout Preventive, Predictive and breakdown maintenance
• Referring OEM manuals – Equipment manufacturer’s drawings and procedures,
• Interpreting technical drawings, standards and procedures for maintenance,
• Dismantling, overhauling, assembling and aligning all rotating equipment’s with driver
• Inspect and diagnose faults on major equipment, checking for corrosion, bent or cracked parts.
• Maintaining and repairing mechanical transmission assemblies,
• Checking shafts and stator/rotor/bearing clearances,
• Developing, testing and make modifications to Mechanical equipment,
• Reinstall, repaired units on locations and run off-load and stream tests to ensure proper operation. Check equipment and machinery for over-heating and leaks, and ensure that all safety devices are functioning normally.
• Knowledge in Hand held and online equipment condition monitoring systems.
• Update all maintenance records entering in the maintenance log the nature of the fault, the work carried out and the time, labour and materials used including any measured values recorded.
• Check and validate all technical reports in CMMS and ensure work history is comprehensively recorded with CMMS data quality requirements. I had worked in MAXIMO , SAP & ORAClE.
• Give work direction to Technicians and contracted helpers for the smooth execution of the services.
• Assist in on-the-job training of subordinates and involving in knowledge sharing activities.
• Ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively in English with all levels of the organization.
• Conduct Tool-box Talk safety meetings and contribute to their continuity.
• To identify un-safe practices in maintenance activities and report accordingly.
• Capable to prioritize , organize and execute maintenance activities independently, working to challenging timelines and managing conflicting prioritize.

Experience:

Having experience with rotating equipment’s trouble shooting and overhauling of all types of large Pumps, Centrifugal, Reciprocating Compressors, Gas turbines and Steam turbines, Engines, Gear boxes Capable of complete overhauling of rotating equipment’s including replacement of rotors, dry gas and mechanical seals, bearings in workshop services & plant maintenance. Preparing of maintenance logs, work reports, using vendor manuals and drawings. Installation of pipe work and valves, including bolt tensioning & torque as part of the flange management procedure
Participate in the planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown and major overhaul maintenance activities. Monitors and ensures that the shutdown maintenance jobs are carried out within the scheduled timeframe. Well performing in machinery alignments. Vibration data collection from the equipment’s and updates the equipment Data History and Maintenance records in CMMS Maximo and SAP system. Safely complete Mechanical work scopes, Prepare PTW & Isolate equipment, Order consumables and spares for maintenance work scopes

Pre commissioning, Commissioning & Start-up :-

Overhauling activities in offshore (Fixed Platform, FPSO) Centrifugal, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, centrifugal pumps, mechanical seal replacement and alignment job, Sewage plant, RO water maker, Air compressor package, Life boats and rescue boat, Power Generators.
Involved in installation and commissioning with preventive and breakdown maintenance of Petrochemical plant Rotary & Static Equipment’s utilities including water treatment plants and power house regular maintenance. Prepare the check list for installation. Having experience in startup, commissioning, stability and steady states and shut down activities of rotating and static equipment’s.

Pre-commissioning/Commissioning and maintenance of the following Utility & Process and safety Systems: Instrument Air, Fire Water, life boat, life raft, Nitrogen Generator, Sea Water, Gas Turbines, Diesel Fuel, Heating & Cooling Medium, LP/IP/HP Gas Compression, Crude Oil Treatment & Separation, Water Injection, Methanol Systems, TEG dehydration/regeneration, Chemical Injection, Auxiliary engine, Emergency generator & all Turret related systems and handling facilities.

Review of work packs / procedures, line walking, punch listing and system walk downs including witnessing of live equipment tests, ensuring that work packs procedures were completed correctly. Reporting to the site mechanical engineer, liaison with commissioning and construction teams, to review progress, issues encountered.
Highlights & Achievements:

Centrifugal Pump:
Overhauling for all types centrifugal pumps (single/multi stage), regular maintenance of Pumps by weekly, monthly & annual basis, centering of rotor (radial/axial) bearing clearance checking and mechanical seal renewing disassembling & maintenance of shaft, shaft sleeve, impeller, wear ring, mechanical seal, oil seal, thrust & radial bearing, aligning the pump with drive system.

Positive Displacement Pumps:
Mainly used in wash water, injection feed water, lube oil pumps (screw & gear pumps) and diaphragm pumps. The work covered with plunger and packing replacing, cross head changing, connecting rod and bearing replacement jobs.
o Make’s: Ingersollrand, Miltonroy, Byronjackson, Pacific, Ebara, Ksb and Worthington etc.,
Mechanical seal:
Repairing and installations of seals of various plans, stuffing box bore trueness checking, recondition of seal faces, assembling jobs carried out.
o Make’s: Johncrane, Burgman, Dura metallic seals.

Alignment:
Alignment for all types of pump with laser alignment kit, also familiar with Reverse Indicator method (Graphical and Mathematical calculation), Rim and face method. Well experience in soft foot correction, providing tolerance according to the manufacturer data for thermal growth of the rotors during alignment. Also had experience in hot alignment for turbines.

Gas Turbine:
Having experience in GE-LM2500 single shaft with 6000 rpm, checking and replacing, Inlet Guide Vanes clearance checking, Rotor blade clearance checking, Bearing checking,
Labyrinth seal checking, combustion chamber liner, Nozzle, Transition pieces, all filters (Air filter, Lube Oil Filter & Enclosure Filter), also checking lube oil & hydraulic oil.

Steam Turbine:
Had experience in maintenance of reaction condensing steam turbine and back pressure steam turbines. Make: AEG Kannis, KKK, Coppus Murray, and Nadroski.Involved start up, shutdown and troubleshooting of steam turbines. Complete overhauling including rotor renewal, bearing renewal, nozzle clearance inspection, checking clearance between moving and stationary blades, bearing clearance inspection, rotor float checking, rotor cantering and labyrinths renewal, diaphragm changing , chest valve assembling jobs carried out up to 6mw turbines with Electronic governor (wood ward 505).

Diesel Engine:
Having experience in Caterpillar and Detroit, Cummins engines involved preventive, break down maintenance and rectify startup problems. Having experience in cylinder liner with head and piston connecting rod assembly, also cylinder head valves, overhauling of fuel injection pump with fuel injector. Checking of fuel pump timing and rocker arm tappet valve clearance setting.

Centrifugal Compressor:
Had experience in overhauling for all type of compressor (single & multi) stage. Dismantling the impeller, thrust & radial bearings, labyrinth seal, inlet guide Vanes also checking the surge control system& operating system of bypass valve& handling of lube oil seal oil system, inter or after gas cooler, cooler fan with gear box routine check the lube oil, seal oil over head tank level. Involved in bearing Tilt pad (Journal and Thrust) checking and changing, dry gas seal changing, Labyrinth seal clearance checking and changing and rotor clearance checking.

Dry gas seal (Compressor):
Routine checkup for seal gas (pressure and flow), primary seal, secondary seal, and separation gases.

Reciprocating Compressor:
Worked in preventive and breakdown maintenance covered with cylinder renewal, suction and discharge valves inspection and replacements, rider and piston rings renewal, rod packing renewal, cross head and main bearing clearance checking and web deflection measuring, and bumping clearance checking jobs in air and sour gas service compressors.

Hydraulic Equipments:

Make: Nor winch, Staffa Mitsubishi Janneh
Trouble shooting and fault finding of all kinds of hydraulic motors, Pumps, Control Valves, Actuators, Winches, Jacks Cylinders etc. Dismantle all internal parts replacing all seal Pressure testing as per Set pressure

Heat Exchangers & Coolers: Worked in heat exchanger jobs like surface condenser, oil cooler servicing, tube cleaning, tube bundle replacements, hydro testing, pneumatic test and tube plugging jobs. Having experience in shell, plate and tube type Exchanger’s, Involved in maintenances and repair of tubes Nozzles, Baffle plates, spool and Hydro test and Leak Checking.
