Hello. I'm Cecilio Sta. Maria, you may call me Val. I am 28 years old. I graduated with a two-year course in Computer Science. I have a National Certification Level 1 in Ship's Catering Services. I am a father of two young boys and a breadwinner of our family. While in college, I started to have a part-time job in catering services to help my family pay my college fees. However, I was not able to practice my learnings from the computer science course because I fell in love with the food and beverage industry. I worked in different catering services and restaurants for ten years as well as in commissary food production for 2 years, where I honed my skills. I am knowledgeable and skilled in serving foods and drinks, welcoming and interacting with guests, setting up tables and chairs, skirting linens, gathering all the things needed in an event, counting and sorting all the supplies before and after the event, maintaining the cleanliness of the event area and also the food & equipment, and many more. I am hardworking, flexible, able to multi-task, work fast, and self-directed but willing to be trained. I believe that these working years in catering services and restaurants helped me to be accurate, efficient, and passionate in work. In addition, I love playing basketball. I always play basketball in my free time. I joined amateur leagues in our city both as a player and a coach. As a player, I exhibit teamwork and as a coach, I have shown my leadership.
