The nature of my degree course has prepared me for this position. It involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. My work experience in terrorism investigation and my professional and academic education in criminal justice, security studies, and public policy and administration have prepared me to deliver a range of courses, including terrorism, counter-insurgency, criminal investigations, ethics, human rights and police, community-oriented policing, criminal profiling, criminology, sociology, organizational behaviour, human resource management, research method, statistics and public policy. I am conducting research on a variety of topics concerning terrorism, policing, and crime prevention. In my dissertation study, I examined the patterns of greater involvement in terrorist activities for individual terrorists. Depending on the needs of the program, I am also interested in designing curricula in a variety of subjects within my areas of expertise.
