I am a suitable candidate for this position, because I have a BA Honours Degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Intermediate and Senior Phase), with 3 years teaching experience, as well as 3 years experience in the customer service industry, working as a Stewardess for Emirates Airline, in Dubai.

I am a South African citizen, which has allowed for me to embrace the benefits of being raised in such a diverse country, where we have many different cultures and religions living together. I attended a multicultural school and have learnt to love and appreciate the differences in individuals. I enjoy learning about new concepts, cultures, opinions and traditions. I like to inspire my teammates to lead the group, if they have experience and sound knowledge about the issue at hand. I have a passion for helping and working with people and this is evident in the volunteer work at the orphanage, youth centre and Lifeline. I am a very encouraging individual and love to motivate the people whom I work with. I am honest and am able to confront others in a very polite manner. I am a good, active listener, as this has been part of my Psychology Honours degree in Psychology, which allows for the people whom I work with to feel respected and important. As a qualified teacher and having 3 years teaching experience, I have the ability to work, communicate, interact and understand both children and adults. I am able to take complex tasks and break them down into more simple formats, to assist whomever, with the task at hand. I also have the ability to understand how children think and feel. As a result, I am very patient in explaining concepts and am very much in favour of making each child the centre of the learning process, utilising and encouraging the necessary learning and teaching styles to help pupils reach their full potential. I aim to create a consistent, assertive, yet personal technique in the way that I teach, as I am able to find the same joy and excitement about smaller things in life and will always place the pupils’ needs first. This was proven in 2013, when I was awarded a Bronze Najm Award at Emirates Airline, in Dubai. I was also awarded a recognition award, at my Emirates Graduation, for an outstanding work ethic, professionalism and was described as being a role model for my fellow crew.
