Communicating the required information to the Shipping Agents, Customs & other officials.
Coordinating with Lines and port agents for smooth entry to the ports, unloading cargo and other post arrival formalities; ensuring proper documentation of ship / cargo.

Spearheading the operation of the vessels(including vessel calling, vessel planning and vessel movements) at Ras Al Khaimah
Ascertaining that vessels are operated safely, economically and effectively maintained to a standard that allows to fulfill operational requirements of either the organization or charter parties and/or other commercial contracts
Resolving queries for principals on agency appointment and ensuring smooth relationship with the principals
Ensuring the preparation of Proforma Disbursement Account and obtaining funds prior to vessel’s arrival
Preparing and monitoring vessel schedules and port activities after vessel arrival and before vessel departure; maintaining documents and formalities related to the same
Interfacing with owners, charters, receivers, suppliers and surveyors of vessel calling under the agency
Communicating the required information to the Port Authorities, Customs & other officials; providing updated to the principals about full itinerary status of the Vessels, lineup, daily loading /discharging figure
Coordinating with ships and port agents for smooth entry to the ports, loading/ unloading cargo and other post arrival formalities; ensuring proper documentation of ship / cargo
Facilitating crew sign on / sign off; attending crew change/visa formalities
Monitoring & guiding boarding representatives on vessel’s smooth clearance, attending vessel’s requirements
Preparing close estimated after vessel call and forwarding to accounts department for Final Disbursement
Updating the web based systems with Vessel call details and other information on a regular basis
Switching B/L management for principals for various cargo/ vessels

Spearheaded a gamut of operations under Database Management and DA Processing
Ensured the maintenance of customer database including operators, customers and agents in the system and provided access to the concerned persons as per their requirements in the DA process
Maintained the port data entailing countries, ports and tariff in the system which enabled the operators, agents and DA processing team to streamline the DA process
Interfaced with customers, operators and agents at the defined ports
Forwarded Port Agency Appointment to the agents as per customer specific instructions and followed up with the agent for estimated Port Disbursement account for the vessel at a specific port
Analyzed and compared the process with the current tariff at the specific port and presented the same to the operators & customers to enable them to remit advance funds to the agents
Calculated the Port tariff with actual time / operations of the vessel at the port and related invoices for vessel inward process charges, cargo operations charges, crew management charges non-commercial charges and charges related to outward clearance
