The SHE Officer is responsible for ensuring that safe work practices and requirements are being
implemented in the area where they have been assigned.
Regularly monitor the site and inspect current activities, working conditions of Plant and Equipment
to ensure HSE Compliance.
Advice the area in charges and Supervisors regarding unsafe conditions or violations and remedial
action required.
Monitor and participate in Daily Tool Box Meetings.
Coordinating First Aid for injuries and ill health.

Audit task risk assessment and attached HSE Docs as per job requirement.
To ensure that HSE ADNOC Policy maintained on site
To conduct H2S awareness trainings as part of tool box talk.
Implementation and monitoring safety aspects on both client and company safety procedures.
Providing advice to the project team on HSE issues.
Maintain and implement the site HSE plan, firefighting plan, emergency evacuation plan.
Monitoring Tool box talks/ safety talks on regular basis and ensure that they are being conducted in
professional and capable manner.
Delivering worker induction and ensuring that all workers receive and induction prior to start to
work.
Investigating for all accident/near miss/spills/fires/ to find the root cause and recommend corrective
action.
Reporting senior management on any serious safety breaches that place workers in threatening
situation.
Developing procedures for high risk activities and briefing management on their responsibilities
under those procedures.
Follow-up on work permit system and inspections, planning safety arrangement for erection works.
Ensure all the lifting equipment, tools and tackles are inspected and checked.
Ensuring wearing of PPE’s by all workers and staffs.
Assisting in controlling the areas where critical task are being undertaken.

Provide safe working conditions for all workers.
Provide workers with instruction in safe work procedures.
Undertake the investigation of accidents, incidents, or near misses to determine the underlying
causes.
Conduct regular inspections for unsafe practices and conditions and ensure prompt corrective action
to eliminate causes of accidents.
Provide each employee with information about the hazards of job and how to avoid them.
Maintain housekeeping standards and assign definite cleaning and organizing responsibilities to
individuals.
Enforce all established safety legislation and work methods.
Take disciplinary action when necessary to ensure compliance with the rules.
Provide a toolbox meeting.

Prepare, maintain and report OHS documents as per the company’s set procedures and guidelines.
Identify the fire hazards and develop, prepare and implement fire protection, fire prevention plans.
Responsible for implementation of OH&S policy laid down by company.
Conduct plant inspection and report unsafe condition and practices at site.
Responsible for ensuring operation and maintenance of emergency equipment and systems.
Suggest and assist the organization to achieve its OHS objectives.
Provide training & awareness to employees by classroom training, practical workshop, tool box
talks.

Issue & monitoring all work permits on site.
Supervise and evaluate emergency drills on site.
Make weekly and Monthly HSE Statistical Report for the project.
Liaise with the consultant safety representative & other concern authorities or sub contractor on
work related safety requirements on site.
Assist the Site Safety Manager in carrying out his duties and responsibilities

Delivered safety Induction training, Tool Box Talk, Hole Watch, Firefighting training to the new
workers.
Ensuring the work permit system and safe work plan before starting the work.
Daily inspection for construction activities and heavy equipment.
Developing and implementing policy.
Implementation of Emergency Response Plan and initiating drills.
Monitoring the pre planning, site preparations, barricading system implementation Supporting and
monitoring inspection for tools and equipment, heavy equipment, cranes.
Conducting or participating in safety meetings.
Scaffold safety requirements and ensuring certified and competent scaffold team for the erection,
modification and dismantling.
