Implement the project HSE plan
 Provide and conduct safety training programme appropriate to the project including induction for new comers
 Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions near miss and incidents and any HSE observations.
 Ensuring the people aware about the emergency procedures at site.
 Implementing client’s safety rules & regulation and company’s safety program.
 Ensure PTW system complied.
 Conduct or supervise daily tool box talks before commencement of each day’s work, which shall be specific to the job to be performed that day and advice if anything required.
 Promote safety awareness among the project workforce by campaigns like heat stress, road safety etc.
 Conduct weekly safety meetings and prepare the minutes.
 Report to Project manager administratively and to QHSE Manager functionally.
 Ensure all vehicles and equipment area maintained in good working conditions and meets the standards by conducting routine inspection.
 Ensure that all person area aware of their duties regarding safety.
 Ensure that all hazards are reported and high potential incidents are investigated.
 To conduct and assessment of risks involved and to apply effective method to protect the workforce and any other that may be at risk of damage.
 Ensure that all PPE issued to the workforce is appropriate to the task.
 Ensure the firefighting equipment and appliances are relevant ,serviceable and certified

 To attend relevant training session both theory and practical and deemed competent in order to qualify as an instructor.
 Additional responsibilities include ensuring the safety and welfare of delegates within the facilities.
 To ensure that the course materials are up to date in line with the current industry standards and relative to the session being delivered.
 To be trainee instructor and shadow relevant senior instructor/HOD where required.
 Monitor and assess delegates under the supervision of competent assessor.
 Actively shadow and assist in training and development programs for other departments in areas of safety training.
 Responsible for his own safety and other safety working around him.
 Responsible to have reasonable care towards the environment and contribute in energy savings and waste reduction
 Conducting the training for Behavior Based Safety, Safety Inductions, Basic Fire Fighting, Confined Space Awareness, Safety Watch, and Work at Height awareness.

Conducting internal HSE inspections of vehicles, plant and equipment fire-extinguishers, camps, lifting gears, health/hygiene, occupational health, waste management inspection.
 Record keeping
 Tool box talk material preparation, conducting weekly and monthly HSE meetings.
 Attending progress HSE meeting
 Giving presentation on HSE topic in the meeting
 Lassoing with HSE department and contract holder
 Updating HSE information with site managers about the new HSE rules and legislation and cascading to line management.
Managing road safety.
 Implement and assure achievement of corporate HSE strategies, key performance indicators and procedures.
 Develop and implement facility HSE monitoring plan
 Monthly HSE statistics and trend analysis recording & submittal to client.
 Implement and monitor accident and incident notification and investigation procedures and corrective actions.
 Develop and manage audit programmes to monitor compliance with corporate and statuary HSE requirements
 Provide specialist advice to line management teams and subcontractors as and when required and regularly disseminate HSE information.
 Audit HSE system effectiveness, develop solutions and provide training to achieve and record enhanced level of employee’s competency.
 Assure compliance with occupational health requirements incorporating field and corporate medical advice.
 Hazard and effects management system application for all activities.
 Safety induction of all levels of employees on every project.
 Training of various tradesmen for proper use of all sorts of tools and special safety gears.
 To render advice on matters related to carry out plant safety inspection to observe and stop unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
 To render advice to department on matters related to reporting of industrial accident and disease.
 To handle some managerial function like planning organizing Co-coordinating motivating and training.
 Ensuring that there is safe access and no dangerous obstruction.
 Providing sufficient protection from weather and good lighting arrangements.
 When deciding on the type access equipment take in to account the height, duration of work, type of work and site conditions.
 Safety audit along with client safety manager, removing trade waste and dirt regularly.
 When noise is likely to above a safe level, ear protection of some sort should be provided.
 Check of PPE such as helmet, goggles, hand gloves, and safety harness and conduct toolbox meeting.
 Working at height check weather worker is using safety harness. If they are working at above 1.8 meters height, fall arrester used while moving at height.
 Confined space: - check entry permit before one enters confined space for adequate light and ventilation.

Advise Management and Supervision on the following:-
 Prevention of injury to personnel and damage to plant and equipment.
 Elimination of hazards which could lead to occupational ill health.
 Protection and prevention of damage to the environment.
 Specialist information required for the preparation of risk assessments involving hazards outside the scope of typical activities.
 Improvement of existing safe methods of work (including new techniques and developments).
 Legal requirements affecting health, safety and welfare and where appropriate changes in relevant legislation.
 The suitability, from a safety viewpoint, of new or hired plant and equipment.
 Provision and use of personal protective equipment.
 Conduct inspections and audits of sites premises and operations to ensure that safe and healthy methods of working are being employed and that all relevant regulations are being observed. Also to promptly report to management and supervision any unsafe practices or breaches of legislation.
 Where appropriate to conduct suitable training for management, supervision and other
 employees
 To assist with the enforcement of the Regional Drug and Alcohol Policy.
 Assist and advice management and supervision on the identification, selection and organization of training where required. Conduct investigation of accidents/Incidents in accordance with the procedures
 Make contact and liaise with official and professional bodies when necessary.
 Promote an understanding with all management and supervision that injury prevention, occupational hygiene and damage control are not only cost effective but are also an integral part of the business and operational efficiency of the company.
