Dear Gents,
I would like to express my interest in the English teacher's position at your institution. I believe that I am eligible for this job role considering my long experience in a variety of educational institutions and schools, along with my academic asset as a holder of Master's degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (with MERIT) from a highly ranked Anglophone university (University of Leicester, UK (http://www.le.ac.uk). Additionally, I attended professional training through a full-time 120-hour TESOL/TEFL course in 2012. I hold a B.A. in English language, Egypt in 1998. My educational qualification has been fostered by my relevant teaching experience in Saudi universities and language training institutes as seen in my resume.
I am keen to give EFL scaffolding and support to EFL learners with the integration of CALL-based and Web-based resources and using student-centred teaching approaches that focus on raising students' foreign languageEFL awareness and engagement. Notably, such principles, (i.e. the integration of blended learning, in the sense of inclusion of CALL-aided and Internet-based teaching with face-to-face classroom instruction), was the main subject of my Master's dissertation. In so doing, I ensure that every student achieves properly well to their highest potential, by being dealt rather as practitioners of learning than passive listeners.
In addition to my interest in teaching curricular skills, I am also careful that the students should develop and maintain good communication and globalized skills which they meet in their out-of-class interactions beyond schools' boundaries. This is through constantly encouraging EFL learners to participate in relevant Internet-based activities and Whatsup or Facebook study stationsin order to enjoy their contributions and entertain learning and fun. This participation requires me as a teacher to instil in them the passion for researching, creativity and authorship of their own EFL contributions, using podcasts, web quests, blogs, and Vlogs which bind them to real world skills.
Moreover, besides my career in teaching English as a foreign or second language, I have more than ten-year experience in translation to/from English/Arabic languages, which fostered my EFL knowledge and skills. I have done so many translation projects for several national and international organizations located in Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Having acquired outstanding skills in both translation and teaching, I trust my qualifications will meet your satisfaction and requirements in teaching, translation as well as administrative duties.
I am passionate about teaching students of different levels and age groups, and I am keen to create interactive rapport with students that promotes a good-quality classroom life.
I appreciate your giving me an opportunity to further demonstrate myself.
Thanks,
Emad A. Mohamed
