- To prepare and develop plans to recover the delay and deliver the projects as early as possible throughout my knowledge, skills and contacts in the consultancy industry field.
- To analyse reasons of the delay and to justify the Extension of Time requested.
- To prequalify the firm in different state organizations and ministries as New Clients and Customers in order to be competent in the market and have its remarkable business share of the market.
- My role expanded to take a major share managing the improvement of the recent jobs / contracts of road design implementing in behalf of Ministry of Transport – KSA – which are in delay.

I have successfully achieved the initial completion of the Project comprising of the new Construction of road connecting NR32 road to the sea side in Duqm, “The new special economic zone”. Total length 6.8 km, 2 no R/A and 2 links leading to Gate1 & Gate 3 of Duqm Refinery. The project was completed within Schedule and Budget (ROM 7.18 m, USD 18.67m) and to client expectations. This was achieved with a highly competent and hands-on Project team. The initial scope of works included the construction of Huge RC open channel for storm water drainage to the sea side 2.1 km long, crossing under the main road in two locations by 3-cell Box Culverts 4x4 m. Construction of future utilities culverts and ducts for Gas pipe lines, oil supply pipe lines and power cables serving all stake holders and end users in the zone, extensive temporary works & Excavation works to -12m below the FRL, Reinforced Concrete Box Culverts, complete with Lighting, Guardrail and Reinstatement / Compaction works with selected fill material.
The Managerial duties that I accomplished successfully are:
- Extensive Client liaison and Progress meetings/ reports and correspondence,
- Monitoring Programme and progress,
- Authorising Payment applications,
- Monitoring Cash Flow, Accounts and Procurement Approvals.
- Other tasks involved the management, negotiation, co-ordination and approval of Sub-Contractor’s (Guardrail fixing, Road Furniture & road signs supply and installation, Lighting & Traffic Signal installation)
- Liaising with Statutory authorities, utility companies and third- parties,
- Agreement of Excavation disposal to the allocated approved zones.
- Temporary Traffic Management plans & requirements,
- Quality control reports
- Health, Safety and Environment - measures and audits.

Responsible for the Management of SAR 400m amount of running projects (Study, Design & Construction Supervision of roads in Saudi Arabia) in behalf of Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Industrial Cities Authority (MODON). As the most important task of mine was to innovate the technical and commercial leadership structures, to diverse the activities of industry by Finding of new clients/ costumers, increment of turnover, cost control and cash flow forecast. Below listed some of my job tasks and achievements: -
- Preparation, validation and implementation of adequate “Company Policy Manual” and Project Quality Manual in Construction Supervision Process.
- Re-structuring of the company team in a manner to comply with the new policies, client’s requirements and expectations.
- Client liaison and Progress meetings/ reports and correspondence
- Review comment and certify all the monthly progress reports to the client.
- Review and authorize all Interim Payment Certificates after receiving from Projects’ sites
- New prequalification of the company has been achieved with Jeddah Municipality and Ministry of Interior
- Established a Business Development Unit which has brought 3 new jobs to the company.
Other tasks involved the Management and Approval of Sub-Contractor’s, Utility companies and Stakeholder liaison, Traffic Management Plans, Quality control reports and ensuring Health and Safety measures are implemented, and compliance with Environmental Precautions.

My managerial role in this position was to develop and diverse the capabilities of the company in Saudi Arabia in general, as far as earning new clients/ costumers in line with our business diversity discipline, the second decision maker figure in the company, dealing directly with site construction issues in relation of technical aspects in conjunction with financial and logistic aspects. As great achievement in my service period was the winning of Land Mark Project, Construction of Safwa / Rahima Causeway Bridge – 1200 m long (352 m. SR), comprising of steel pipe piles 1040 mm outer diameter (1000 mm) inner one, using steam hummer for pile driving, pile length average 30 m. Over the piles reinforced concrete cross head on which after pre-stressed girders 30 m. long will be launched. This project directly was estimated / quoted by me. Some of my managerial tasks and achievements are listed below:
- Design verification of the Tender Design jointly with clients in order to achieve the most economical, best functional and operational design revision.
- Study & review of Abha International Airport – Innovation, reconstruction and up-grading. This project was awarded early 2014,
- As managing Technical Division, all workshop drawings for all running projects were delivered on time.
- As managing Procurement Division, the most optimum and competitive prices were achieved with very reliable terms of payment in respect of the project conditions and approved budgets.
- As managing the Planning Division, Optimizing the human resources and machinery productivity in respect of the approved construction programs.
- Cost control procedures where applied in respect of the approved budgets of all running projects.

My Managerial role during this period involved the responsibility to be The Head of Supervision Department (500+ employees), supervising various and extensive Highway Projects in excess of thousands of kms, inclusive of Bridge Structures, Piling, Drainage structures & Earthworks (Cut & Fill), located throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These projects notably included high profile Interchange junctions. The responsibility for overseeing the management of all Supervision/Technical site staff and reporting to Branch Manager (Head office) and presenting to the Client, providing advice on any Contractual and Technical issues on site, Construction techniques, Management of: Material compliance and approval obtaining of completed works, extensive negotiations/ meeting with Utility companies, schedule site audits and inspections, authorising financial payments, and ensuring correct Quality Assurance Procedures, control and material testing. In addition to this I was responsible for compiling specific technical reports to the Ministry of Transport (KSA Government), providing internal advice and solutions concerning numerous Project difficulties, chaired various meetings with Client & local Contractors, and extensively contributed towards the production of a new and comprehensive company Project Quality Manual. Other achievements include the development of Traffic Management and Health & Safety measures with local Contractors.

- Hail / Madina dual road, 414 km. and Madina 3rd ring road 84 km. Inclusive 14 interchanges with directional ramps. Dual carriageway 3 running lanes and 2 lane service road - design and supervision
- Hail / Rafha /Hafr Al Baten 260 km. road, design
- Jeddah / Yanbu’/ Haql, Duelling, design and supervision
- Safwa / Rahima Causeway road, 16 km causeway inclusive 700 m. bridge crossing Safwa Bay, design was revised by myself, piers to be Steam Driven Metal Tubular Piles 1000 mm Dia, instead of Cast in-situ concrete piles. Design and supervision
- Qasim/ Jubail Motorway. 600 km. Design
- Shuqeiq /twal /Jazan road, Inclusive 36 wadi bridges and 12 interchanges. design and supervision
- Dueling of Taif /Al Baha /Abha, 250 km. Inclusive Wadi bridges and Interchanges. design and supervision

The project Is awarded – Design & Built
- Preparation of the site office, stock yard and machinery yard.
- Study and evaluation of the client concept design since the design of the project was part of the contract
- Preparation of the execution plans and programs along with “Critical Path Method”
- The Project was started, and 5 monthly payment certificates were prepared and submitted to the client.
- The design of the project was carried out successfully and was delivered and approved by the client.
Stoppage of work was issued by client due to project/ road alignment problems.

Road maintenance in Abu Dhabi Main Land & Construction of minor projects.
The project is comprising of assessment studies of all the roads of the area to define the status of deterioration / collapse of the road, carry out the site necessary lab tests, preparation of the optimum technique of reconstruction. Huge quantities of road construction materials were used, different reconstruction procedures were applied starting with asphalt milling and overlay to full depth reinstatement (to the bottom subgrade). Below listed some of the works done: -
- Completion Survey and assessment of “Pavement Condition Index” of the existing roads
- Completion of duelling of Gamco roundabout - Abu Dhabi airport road
- Completion of Abu Dhabi golf club round about rehabilitation
- Completion of reconstruction of Abu Dhabi – Dubai road.
- Completion of Trucks road – Al Eein bond.
- Completion of rehabilitation of Al Ruweis Road
- Completion of Study and evaluation of the reconstruction and rehabilitation procedures in respect of the prepared reports. On time
- Miner small projects were constructed and delivered to the client successfully
- The planned work in the scope of the project was delivered on time, the whole contractual area was surveyed, and the pavement condition was specifically defined and reported to the client.

Successfully completion of the Construction of a new design and build roads, reconstruction and rehabilitation of existing roads, asphalting of tracks, land fill projects, huge roadway excavation projects, aggregate production and asphalt production.
Below listed some of the achievements: -
- Few small road projects were awarded based on my hard efforts of site seeing and pricing
- Re-structuring of the running projects teams and equipment in order to minimize the cost
- 2 no. road projects were completed and delivered to the client within the contract dates.
- One production line of different aggregate base course types was founded and provided in operation.
- One asphalt plant was installed and provided in operation

Rehabilitation and reconstruction of existing roads and new construction of minor links and storm water drainage systems.
Successful completion of 36-unit housing compound in Jenin, Palestinian Territories including all internal roads and alleys along with all infrastructure networks.

Very mega project, comprising of 8-unit power generation (2400 MW) and 8-unit water distillation project, 3 Billion $ amount, while the civil contract is about 420 million $. Very huge quantities of reinforced concrete and steel bars, land fill and excavation, several types of structures, plenty of marine works and shorefront protection, dewatering and sheet piling works.
Below are some of my duties: -
- To review and approve the construction drawings in compliance with the approved design for turbine structures, sea water intake structure, out fall structure and 6-cell huge box culverts.
- To supervise and inspect all the activities and works executed by the contractor. This area consists of special infrastructures, huge box culverts, circulating water conduits and marine works, shore front protection, dredging works, sheet piling, precast pile driving, construction of jetties, building works, chimneys and precast bridge elements launching.
