I am Prof. Amir Niasari-Naslaji. I was born in Tehran in 1964. I received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (D.V.M.) in 1990 from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. Then I continued my postgraduate studies and received Ph.D in Animal Reproduction in 1996 from University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. I was working at Common Wealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), in Australia for a while and I did my Pos-Doc at the University of Queensland. I returned to my home country, Iran, in 1997 where I was appointed as academic member of the same faculty that I received my D.V.M. I am now a full professor at the University of Tehran. I received several scientific awards for my research in Animal Reproduction particularly in camel. I am working on camel subject since 1999. I innovated extenders to preserve semen in camel (SHOTOR® diluent for Bactrian camel and HASHI diluent for Dromedary camel) and horse (ASB® diluent), dummy or phantom for semen collection in camel and I did the first interspecies embryo transfer from Bactrian to Dromedary camel in the world. I have more than 90 published articles in national and international journals and more than 70 abstracts presented in scientific meetings. I supervised 24 PhD and 20 DVM students, mostly on reproductive technologies including AI, ET, IVP and cloning. I have established a clinic for camel and horse fertility and embryo transfer for the private sector in Oman in 2010. I am also the founder of Camel Advanced Reproductive Technology Center (CARTC) for the Government of Dubai in between 2014 and 2015. Currently I am the Director of Veterinary Research Institute at the University of Tehran. Finally, I am expert in reproductive technologies particularly artificial insemination and embryo transfer in sheep, goat, camel and cattle and I am able to establish and run fertility clinic, artificial insemination and embryo transfer in these species.
