 Recruited by Managing Director as Group IT Manager. Responsible for maintaining the infrastructure and critical system.
 Initiated disk imaging/cloning deployment to reduce support costs.
 Installation of a secure VPN tunnel for the ERP / accounts related file system with no downtime.
 Started disk to disk backup system to reduce the backup and restore time.
 Navigated an integration contract (working with multiple vendors) resulting in decreased IT operational costs by 35%.

 Reporting to Operations Director as a Strategy & Planning Lead with support of five colleagues reporting jointly to me and Operations Head.
 Managed logistics project for Owners and Charterers implementation from Ship allocation, process mapping & procedures, through to operational implementation.
 Worked on the development of a shipping-based application to ensure the Owners and Charterers get the actual position of the progress being made.
 This included analysis and modeling of the process and inventory movements for the Owners and Charterers. Which had included scheduling of orders to meet the logistics.
 Worked on ensuring the process was accurate and cost-effective from operational handling and transportation requirements.
 Worked with extensive databases internally and at times with 3rd party client systems to accommodate accurate information on return logistics.
 Worked on statistical reports dashboard to the management easy reference. Using interface tools like Zoho for reference and got the same implemented internally from the development team.

Reporting to the Group IT Director with the support of four colleagues reporting to me. I handled the database portion with my DBA team in DA-DESK, a part of MARCURA Group, having respective applications. I was responsible for the database administration, structural design & implementation of new SOPs at the group level.

Oracle

 Installing, configuring, managing Oracle 8i, 9i,10g,11g SQL server database. Patching, upgrading oracle 8i, 9i,10g,11g software, and databases.
 Platform change from Unix to SUSE Linux and Oracle VM.
 Performance tuning and monitoring of databases through views, EM, stats pack, ADDM, and AWR.
 Scheduling backups and recover the database in the event of a system crash or DR drill using RMAN, Datapump, and Import & Export.
 Creating scripts to monitor database performance activities.
 Perform database re-organization as required for assisting performance and ensuring maximum uptime of the database.

Oracle WebLogic
• Installing and configuring WebLogic domains.
• Performance monitoring /tuning.
• Installing WebLogic patches, service packs, etc.
• Troubleshooting logs.
• JBoss Application server administration.

Single sign-on (SSO)

• DBA team in Net Connect, an outsourced service of Wipro Group provided me an opportunity to handle the database for the clients assigned by Wipro. Key profile was to take care of the database, managing the Materialized views, SQL query tuning, application of procedures and functions for clients
- ICICI Bank on ATM Project having Base24 on Tandem Server as front end and Oracle 8.0.1 as back end. Implementation of Master Card and Visa testing for ICICI bank ATM’s.
- Tata Special Steels Limited (TSSL) having plants at Borivali and Tarapore, Mumbai, India.

Supporting the Operating system and hardware as an onsite engineer for Wipro contracted clients. Also, I learned on-site networking for clients like Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited [BPCL], ICICI Bank, Bharat Bijlee Ltd., and HDFC Bank.
